Andy Levy is Professor of Endocrinology and Hon Consultant Physician at Bristol University and University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. 

Research

Andy Levy's principle interests concern the pathogenesis and propagation of human pituitary adenomas. Since 1986 continuous grant funding from The Wellcome Trust, SERC (BBSRC), British Heart Foundation, Neuroendocrine Research Trust and The Royal Society of Medicine has resulted in over 70 non-clinical, peer-reviewed papers with an average of only three co-authors, published in internationally recognized journals.

 

Teaching

Undergraduate education is a major commitment. Andy Levy has written books for Oxford University Press and Blackwell Science (one of which was highly commended in the Society of Authors Medical Book Awards (Asher prize)). He uses video material extensively and innovatively in teaching and provided all of the edited video case material for the Royal College of Physicians Medical Masterclass series.
